Questions
Do we need Slack or Teams?
No. Everything runs over email, so it works for any team. People can add Slack, Teams, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Calendly links to their profile if they'd like to be reachable that way.
How does it stop people being paired twice?
It keeps the full match history and, each round, picks pairings that haven't happened yet. Once everyone has met everyone, the cycle starts again. New members are introduced to people the existing members have already met.
What if there's an odd number of people?
Someone sits out that round, and they get priority in the next one — nobody is left out twice in a row.
Can people choose how often they're matched?
Yes. The group has a schedule, and each person can follow it or choose weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly — or pause for a while. They're only matched when their own cycle is due.
